Sony DC8 Electret Battery Power Unit for ECM Series Microphone is an in line power source designed to keep the Sony Lavalier microphones running for hours. It is used for charging microphones so that the user does not have to use a bulky power supply. This power unit is specifically compatible with Sony microphones that have a 4 pin connector. The Sony battery power unit comes equipped with an SMCS input and XLR 3 pin output connector, and the power unit has an internal AA battery compartment. This battery assures a power output of up to 5,000 hours. If required, the power unit can also be charged using a 48V external phantom power.
