      This boom pole is very sturdy and comfortable to use despite its weight. You could get lighter poles made from other materials, but of course that means a big jump in price. A positive thing about the weight is when it's fully extended; you don't get any slack, which means you can move it pretty fast without any movement in the boom's structure. The only cons I have is the paper cylinder which the boom pole comes in. Now, I know it's not something you're supposed to use to carry it in, but I wish Rode had...
