Review by R. Nipper on July 17, 2014Expensive but works well, the only problem being that particularly on a camera such as the G30 where the connection shoe is right above the viewfinder you can end up with cameraman breathing featuring on the audio rather more than might be desirable! -

Review by Shed on January 10, 2014I purchased this for my Legria MF-H52. It is superb quality and smaller than it appears. No cables needed as it connects via the advanced mini shoe. Not been able to test the 5.1 effect too much but it is faithfully reproduced for editing on my Mac using Final Cut Pro -

I've just received it this morning, so haven't tested it out fully yet but I attached it to my Canon Legria HF M307 camcorder. It comes with an SD card to install the firmware onto the the camcorder. I done this and it was very easy to do, although I'd read other reviews of the mic saying that it was very difficult to follow the instructions, I had no problem at all.
