      Had mine for 15 years bought this one for my son so he didn't keep borrowing mine no downside to it except maybe the weight for a long trek, but solid, long lasting and great quality

      Very good piece of kit, help with stability on long distance shots, hence allowing to crop in further with out the loose of sharpness , it is heavy but can put up with that, the pros outway the cons

      You love it or hate it.
      It give great flexibility and versatility and I wish handling was not so demanding. My girlfriend was unable to tighten the main joint enough to hold a small DSLR with a kit lens. I always feared I'd break the thread.
      Also, the screws on the legs are plastic rings around an inch in diameter - they are round so are not easy to tighten with 2-3 fingers and are too small to use the whole hand.
      Gave it to a friend who's been a big fan for long years.
