There's no doubt that if you mount this thing properly on a half decent tripod, it will do its job just fine.
I had some doubt before I purchased it as other people on here suggested that it's a bit wobbly - What's up with that!? As long as you are capable of tightening that massive screw in the middle, the tray won't wobble a fraction of a milimetre.
