      Does the job nicely

      I like all things Manfrotto, however for the job I need it for (holding a light pair of binoculars) it is possibly over-engineered a little - that's not to say that in the future I might new such, who knows?
      Well made, good value and will hold a false leg in a storm.

      On reading EJ's comment regarding the sliding metal T bar I delayed my purchase. However after seeing one in a high street photo retailer and being able to handle it I was so impressed by the quality of the clamp over my existing one that I had no hesitation in purchasing. I would have bought it from Amazon and saved ?4.00 but I had it in my hand and was going away the next day. Actually the T bar works well and in a day birding from hides it's no great trial using it.
