      Essential purchase for speedlight users

      Lighting gels are an essential part of lighting equipment. If you're new to using speedlights, I'd say buy one light, this gel kit, and one brolly/softbox. Use those until you've got your technique solid. Then look to buy more lights. Lots of people will own several lights but no gels - this is a huge mistake. Lighting is about mood and atmosphere, and the colour of the light will have a much bigger effect than throwing extra lights into a scene (in most cases).
