This also helps improve image clarity, detail, and colour saturation. The overall effect can be adjusted by rotating the filter. A CPL Circular Polarizer filter reduces the amount of available light by 1 2 stops and requires either the aperture or shutter to be opened to compensate, making it effective as a neutral density ND filter.
