The Panasonic DMC G7 is a compact system camera which opens up the world of 4K. From shooting memorable frames to capturing amazing stills from your 4K footage, the G7 showcases impressive details for all to enjoy. This mirrorless camera comes with a 14 42mm Lens which is the perfect size for capturing both wide angle landscapes and close up portraits. A 'silent design' makes ensures that any video recording won't be disturbed by noisy focusing, while image stabilisation also helps to make every image razor sharp. 4K stills and frames The resolution of 4K delivers four times the quality of a high definition picture which achieves a much higher level of detail. Even if you view the 4K footage on a Full HD TV, the files will still display clear, sharp images. Not only can you record in stunning, cinematic detail but you can also go back through your footage to select high quality 8 megapixel stills from your clips. Using the new 4K Photo function, you can capture those instant moments which only occur when you are already filming. And with three different modes 4K BURST, 4K BURST START & STOP and 4K PRE BURST you'll always be able to capture that perfect moment with friends and family. Quick to focus With Panasonic's Depth From Defocus DFD Auto Focus AF technology, you'll be able to capture even the fastest moving action. This great new tech instantly calculates the distance between the items inside the frame and drives the focus of the lens in one continuous movement. Creating AF speeds up to 0.07 seconds and burst shooting speed with AFC of 6 frames per second fps, the new system can even increase the stability of continuous focusing when shooting. AF Tracking is also possible which recognises the colour, size and motion of the subject. And with Low Light AF, you'll be able to focus on subjects in low light situations with Starlight AF capturing stars in the night sky. OLED viewfinder and tilt display Complete with a high resolution OLED Live View Finder, you'll be able to see all your settings displayed even under direct sunlight conditions. And a tiltswivel touch display will give you the creative freedom to capture unusual perspectives whilst maintaining full control. Wireless creativity With the Panasonic Image App, you'll be able to control the DMC G7 on your Smartphone or tablet device which will allow you to; view the image, set the focus, release the shutter, review photographs on the larger screen of your device or even share images on social networks. This is all made possible with built in Wi Fi. And with Geotagging, the compact system camera will always know exactly where it is by using the GPS logtag of your Smartphone or tablet. Lenses & Cases One of the biggest advantages of this camera is the sheer shooting flexibility on offer. You can use additional lenses to take wide angle, telephoto, or close up shots to suit just about any situation. The shorter the focal length measured in mm, the wider the view will be the longer the focal length, the more telescopic the picture. With a selection of interchangeable lenses at your disposal, the creative possibilities are endless. Click here to browse our selection. Take care of your new camera with one of our cases. 4 Star Rating and its annoying:

    Pros:
    Cons:

"I bought this as a vlogging camera, and honestly the only downside is the auto focus and battery life. I'm using the kit lens and I notice quite a bit of image noise at low ISO, not sure if it's a setting I need to change or not, but it's definitely there...and its annoying :D

    5 Star Rating Excellent!!

    "Excellent!!!
This camera is so light, has dual dials, gives lots of customization, lots of control, has a bunch of features and the 12-60 lens is fantastic.
A very very good buy for both stills and video.

5 Star Rating Great micro four thirds camera
By: Sj, Flintshire, on January 18, 2016
    Pros:
    Cons:

"A great camera and so very versatile. Lovely to hold, especially for someone with a smaller hand. It's good in low light conditions too. The ability to have a silent shutter is good for times when you don't want to intrude on an occasion.

5 Star Rating A worthy successor to the G6.

    Pros:
    Cons:

"As an owner of the Panasonic G6, I was a little worried that I wouldn't find the upgrade worth it. On paper, the improvements aren't massive unless you really want the 4k video. And I guess this is the 'killer' feature.

As it happens I really like it. The dual control dials make this a much easier camera for anyone who is used to owning a pro spec DSLR to switch to. I found the G6's single command dial a pain to use. The solid feel of the dial is so nice I find myself spinning the dials...
