The Celestron Nature DX 8x42 Binoculars are Celestrons new nature series and is the perfect companion for the outdoor explorer. These feature packed binoculars offer multi coated optics, BaK 4 prisms and a fully waterproof exterior that is purged of air and filled with dry nitrogen gas to ensure a clear, fog free viewing experience. The BaK 4 prisms with phase coating increases contrast and resolution for sharper and more detailed images. The multi coated optics provides maximum light transmission for brighter images. The Celestron Nature DX binoculars offer a 16cm close focusing distance and provide a detailed, up close observation of subjects in close proximity, as well as subjects at a distance. Rating Excellent optics and value for money
Review by thesneakybob on May 21, 2014Excellent optical quality for the money, with a crisp wide field of view. They also seem pretty portable for a full sized nitrogen filled binocular. On the negative side, I find the focus wheel squeaks slightly on occasion, but is precise and it's certainly easy to find focus even at just over 6ft. There is a feeling corners have been cut slightly with the build, with the white branding rubbing off very easily after a few uses. The bag and straps are also pretty basic too, but they do the job.
