Essential purchase for speedlight users By: ST84 Photography, on November 2, 2013 Pros: Cons: "Lighting gels are an essential part of lighting equipment. If you're new to using speedlights, I'd say buy one light, this gel kit, and one brolly/softbox. Use those until you've got your technique solid. Then look to buy more lights. Lots of people will own several lights but no gels - this is a huge mistake. Lighting is about mood and atmosphere, and the colour of the light will have a much bigger effect than throwing extra lights into a scene (in most cases). Roscoe and Lee are both well... |
