Precision position control with the MA 454. By: Terry G, on January 26, 2018 Pros: Cons: "By carrying the Manfrotto brand I was expecting the MA 454 Micro Positioning Plate to be a well engineered high quality piece of kit and I am not disappointed. The MA 454 has a very smooth and finely controlled 2 way movement with only a little backlash when reversing direction. More expensive than many others on the market, but if you want precision then quality does cost. |

An essential product for serious macro photographers. By: N. Once set up it is easy to use with a quick release for rapid movement and an accurate vernier screw for fine work. My only complaint is the lack of design attention paid to the method of attaching the plate to a tripod and attaching the camera to the plate.
